User Agreement

Last updated August 12, 2026

These are the community rules for the Spanbox forum. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and exist for one reason: to keep this a helpful, welcoming place to ask and answer questions.

The short version

Be kind. Ask real questions. Give honest answers. Do not spam, harass anyone, or post things that are illegal or harmful. That is most of it.

Be civil and respectful

Treat other members the way you would want to be treated. Disagree with ideas, not people. Personal attacks, insults, hate speech, and harassment of any kind are not allowed, and they are the quickest way to have content removed or an account suspended.

Post in good faith

No spam or covert self-promotion

Advertising, referral links, affiliate spam, SEO link-dropping, and low-effort promotional posts are not welcome. If you have a genuine connection to something you mention, disclose it. Sharing a helpful tool in the right context is fine; using the forum as a billboard is not.

No illegal or harmful content

Do not post content that is illegal, that promotes harm, that shares malware or pirated material, or that helps people break into accounts or services. Do not share instructions clearly intended to cause damage.

Respect other people's privacy

Never post someone else's private information, such as their address, phone number, private messages, or account details. Do not share screenshots that expose other people's personal data.

Do not impersonate others

Do not pretend to be another person, a Spanbox staff member, or an official account. Pick a display name that does not mislead people about who you are.

Respect intellectual property

Only post content you have the right to share. Do not paste in copyrighted articles, paid content, or someone else's work as if it were your own. Quote briefly and link to the source instead.

Vote honestly

Upvotes and downvotes help good answers rise. Use them to reflect what is genuinely helpful, not to attack people you disagree with. Do not use extra accounts or coordinate to manipulate votes or rankings.

How we enforce these rules

Depending on what happened, moderators may edit or remove a post, lock a thread, issue a warning, or suspend or ban an account. Serious or repeated violations can lead to a permanent ban. We aim to be fair, and we look at context, but keeping the community healthy comes first.

Reporting

If you see something that breaks these rules, report it so a moderator can take a look. Reporting in good faith helps everyone. Do not misuse reports to harass people whose posts you simply dislike.

Changes

We may update this User Agreement as the community grows. We will update the date above when we do. Questions or appeals can go through the Spanbox contact page.
