Discord mic not working, people can't hear me but everything looks fine. Fixes?

My mic suddenly stopped working in Discord. The input bar does not move when I talk and no one can hear me, even though the same mic works in other apps. Already restarted. What now?

Run these in order: 1) Settings > Voice & Video > check the correct Input Device is selected (not Default if that grabs the wrong mic). 2) Test with Input Mode set to Push to Talk, and check the sensitivity bar moves, drag the slider left if it does not. 3) Windows: Settings > Privacy > Microphone > allow desktop apps. 4) Reset Voice Settings at the bottom of that page. 5) Last resort, run Discord as administrator.

Wrong Input Device is the usual culprit, especially after plugging in a headset. Explicitly pick your mic instead of leaving it on Default.

Windows microphone privacy permission blocks Discord silently. Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone > let desktop apps access it. Instant fix for me.

If sensitivity is on Automatic and your mic is quiet, it can gate you out. Switch to manual and drag the threshold down.

Try the browser version quickly. If your mic works there, it is a Discord app permission thing, not your hardware.
