Every message,
one calm window.
Most all-in-one apps just bolt your chats into tabs. Spanbox is built on a different idea. One unified inbox that stretches across 60+ chat and email apps, a command bar to reach any of them, and a local-first design that keeps everything on your own machine.
SpanView. Your whole world in one stream.
Every other aggregator keeps your services in separate boxes. Spanbox quietly watches across all of them and pulls what matters into a single, prioritized view, so you stop hunting through ten apps and start finishing conversations.
It's the difference between storing your apps in one window and actually understanding them in one glance. That's the heart of Spanbox, and it's something the others simply don't do.
See it for yourself →"We built Spanbox because our own messages were scattered across ten apps and email. Pulling everything into one prioritized stream changed how we work, and that's the part people feel on the first day."
One list, not ten open apps
Every unread message from every connected service lands in a single, sorted list, and the things that actually need you float to the top. You answer what counts first, instead of opening ten apps just to find out who's waiting.
Free gives you live unread counts across your services. Pro adds message previews right in the inbox, plus mark-as-read and mute without ever leaving the list.
Reach any chat at the speed of thought
Press ⌘K on a Mac, or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux, start typing, and jump straight to any chat or service. It's the fastest way through a busy day, and it's how you add new apps too.
This is Spanbox's signature feature. Cross-service AI search is the next layer we're building right on top of it.
All your apps, one click each
WhatsApp, Slack, Gmail, Telegram, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Instagram, Messenger, Outlook, ChatGPT and dozens more connect with a single click, and each one stays signed in and separate.
More than 60 services ship today, with Signal, Viber, LINE and KakaoTalk on the roadmap.
Built for messy, multi-account days
Two WhatsApp numbers? Three Slack workspaces? A work Gmail and a personal one? Keep them side by side, each fully separate, so you stop signing in and out all day long.
Group services into focused workspaces too, one for work, one for side projects, one for life, and switch cleanly between them. Free includes one workspace. Pro unlocks multiple accounts and unlimited workspaces.
Notifications on your terms
One clean desktop alert when something needs you, with a per-service mute switch, and a click drops you straight into the chat. Flip on Do Not Disturb to silence everything at once, or set Quiet Hours so Spanbox goes quiet every evening and weekend on its own.
Need to lock in? Focus Mode (⌘⇧F) hides everything except the one conversation you're in. Notification rules and Do Not Disturb are part of Pro.
Your messages never leave your device
You sign in to each service yourself, exactly as you would in a web browser. Your chats, your logins and your data live on your own computer, and only there. There's no Spanbox account to create, and no server of ours in the middle of your conversations. Nothing gets uploaded to us, stored by us, or read by us.
That's a real difference from cloud tools like Beeper, which route your messages through their own servers to work. With Spanbox, if it isn't on your machine, it doesn't exist. No third party to breach, subpoena, or sell your data.
Privacy Shield
Blocks third-party tracker, ad and analytics requests inside your services. Conservative by design, so it won't touch your logins or break the services themselves. A Pro feature.
App lock
Lock the whole app behind a PIN or Touch ID, so a glance at your screen never becomes a glance at every message you have. A Pro feature.
Quiet, fast, and on every OS
Spanbox runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. It lives in your tray or menu bar, launches at login, checks your spelling as you type, and tells you the moment a new version ships.
Close the window and it keeps running in the background, so your unread counts stay live. It's built to stay light and get out of your way, no matter how much you connect.
How Spanbox is different
Same goal as the others, get your apps in one place. A very different philosophy about what happens next.
- Your services, parked in tabs
- You still check each one, one by one
- Notifications pile up everywhere
- Cluttered, noisy, heavy on your machine
- Your activity often leaves your device
Spanbox- One unified stream across everything
- What needs you rises to the top, automatically
- Move at the speed of thought with the command bar
- Calm, focused, and light, it gets out of your way
- Private by design, your data stays on your device

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The things people actually ask before switching. Straight answers, no spin.
Will using WhatsApp or Slack inside Spanbox get my account banned?
No. Spanbox opens each service's official web app in its own real session that you log into yourself, the same as opening web.whatsapp.com or Slack in a browser. There are no unofficial APIs and no bridge server, so there's nothing for a service to flag. Each login lives in its own isolated session on your machine.
How is Spanbox different from Beeper, Rambox or Franz?
Beeper routes your messages through its own servers to bridge them, which is clever but puts a third party in the middle. Rambox and Franz mostly park each app in a tab, so you still check them one by one. Spanbox keeps everything on your device and adds a real unified inbox that pulls unread messages from every service into one prioritized list.
Can I actually reply and send messages, or is it read-only?
You get the full app. Since each service is its real web version, you send, reply, react, share files and search exactly as you would there. Some voice and video calls depend on what the service allows in its web app, so those can be more limited.
Can I use two WhatsApp or Slack accounts at the same time?
Yes, on Pro. Keep two WhatsApp numbers, several Slack workspaces, or a work and personal Gmail side by side, each in its own isolated session so they never mix. Free connects one account per service within its 3-service limit.
Do my chats sync across my computers?
Not through Spanbox, and that's on purpose. Local-first means each computer keeps its own signed-in sessions. Your history still syncs the normal way through each service itself, for example WhatsApp through your phone, so you see the same threads, just signed in per device.
What if an app I use isn't in the catalog?
More than 60 ship today, and on Pro you can add custom or self-hosted services by entering their URL, which covers tools like Mattermost or Rocket.Chat. Signal, Viber, LINE and KakaoTalk are on the roadmap.
Will Spanbox slow down my computer?
It's built to sit quietly in the tray and stay light. Because each service is a real web session, memory use grows with how many you run, so ten heavy services will use more than three. You can close any service to free up resources whenever you want.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. Spanbox is a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux. Your phone apps keep working normally right alongside it, and because each service syncs on its own, nothing gets in their way.
Is it really free, and what's the catch?
Free connects any 3 services forever, with no account and no card. Pro lifts that to unlimited services and adds multiple accounts, workspaces, notification rules, Privacy Shield and App lock. There are no ads, and because it's local-first, your data is never the product.
Bring every app into one calm inbox
