When feed AND DMs AND uploads all break at once, it's almost always Instagram's side, not you. Fastest way to confirm: check Downdetector or search 'Instagram down' on X. If there's a spike, just wait it out. If only YOUR stuff is broken while others are fine, then it's worth clearing cache or reinstalling. Whole-app failure is their problem nine times out of ten.

Fully closing and reopening the app (swipe it away) fixes more than you would think.

If it is account related, turning on two factor while you are in there is always worth it.
