A friend posted a photo of us and tagged me, and there's usually a way to share that to your own story but I can't find the button this time. Is it gone, or does it depend on their settings?

Someone tagged me in their story. How do I repost it to my own?

When they tag your account, you get a DM that says 'X mentioned you in their story' with an 'Add to your story' button, tap that and it reposts as a sticker to yours. If that button is missing, it's usually because their account is private and you don't follow each other, or they've turned off resharing. Ask them to check 'Allow resharing to stories' is on.

Went through this last month, you are not alone with it.

Check your DMs, not the story itself. The reshare button lives in the mention notification, not on the story. Trips everyone up.

If it is account related, turning on two factor while you are in there is always worth it.
